WELCOME! PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE BOOKING:

I AM UNABLE TO ACCEPT PATIENTS INVOLVED IN NO FAULT OR WORKERS COMP CASES.

IF YOU ARE A RETURNING ACUPUNCTURE PATIENT, BUT HAVE NOT BEEN HERE IN OVER TWO YEARS, PLEASE BOOK A NEW PATIENT APPOINTMENT.

A MESSAGE FOR EXPECTING MOTHERS:  Acupuncture can be safely performed to support your health and pregnancy during all trimesters. I am unable to offer support for breech babies because I am unable to perform the moxibustion technique in my office space due to the smoke and fumes it produces. I do not offer “natural labor inductions.”

FIRST-TIME ACUPUNCTURE PATIENTS: Your first appointment lasts about 2 hours and I am only able to offer a few each week, so I typically book out a month or so for first appointments. Once you are an established patient, you will not have issues scheduling follow-up appointments. Please book the first available appointment. You also can add yourself to the waitlist, and you will be contacted if something opens up sooner. If you join the waitlist, please complete your intake forms in your patient portal as soon as possible. If your intake forms are not completed, you will not be called for a waitlist opening. Thank you!

FIRST-TIME MASSAGE APPOINTMENTS: My massage therapy practice is at full capacity and I am unable to take on new massage patients at this time. If are trying to redeem a gift certificate for massage therapy, I will honor your gift certificate, but I may not be able to get you in for a few months. If you have a gift certificate, please add yourself to the waitlist and make a notation that you will be redeeming a gift certificate. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Elizabeth DiNapoli Lemire DACM, LAc, LMT, Dipl. OM

Dr. Liz is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM), and a licensed Acupuncturist, Massage Therapist, and Chinese Herbalist. She is board certified in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, and Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

Dr. Liz received her Doctorate from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in San Diego, her Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from PCOM New York, and her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Villanova University.

While at PCOM New York, Dr. Liz undertook additional coursework in the Classical Acupuncture Program, which was developed under Daoist Master and 88th generation direct descent Dr. Jeffrey C. Yuen of the Jade Purity and Dragon Gate lineage. Outside of PCOM, she has studied J.R. Worsley’s Five Element Constitutional Acupuncture under Dr. Anne Jeffres, L.Ac.

Also a graduate of PCOM’s Massage Therapy Program, Dr. Liz’s unique style of bodywork blends both Eastern and Western philosophies and a variety of modalities including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Shiatsu, and TuiNa. She has received training in Oncology Massage, and Massage for Hospice and Elder Care. As a former, long-time sufferer of neck and back pain, Liz has a special affinity for working with these areas of the body.

Dr. Liz loves working with moms during all stages of their pregnancy. She has received extensive post-graduate training for Acupuncture during Pregnancy, Childbirth, and the Postpartum period. Her training included an internship with Claudia Citkovitz, L.Ac., a leading expert in Labor and Delivery Acupuncture, at NYU Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn providing acupuncture to laboring mothers on the Labor and Delivery Unit. Dr. Liz received advanced training prenatal and postnatal massage under Susanrachel Condon, LM, LMT, CCE, midwife and founder of Niara Healing Arts. Liz’s DONA International Birth Doula training was with Debra Pascali-Bonaro, B.Ed., LCCE, PDT/BDT(DONA), the Founder & President of Pain to Power Childbirth Experience.

Dr. Liz also loves working with kids! She has taken post-graduate pediatric acupuncture training with Stephen Cowan, MD, pediatrician and author of Fire Child Water Child, and Robin Ray Green, L.Ac., author of Heal Your Child from the Inside Out: The 5-Element Way to Nurturing Healthy, Happy Kids, both renowned pediatric acupuncture experts.

Dr. Liz is a professional member of the Acupuncture Society of New York (ANSY) and the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).

Before moving up to the Capital Region to open up Wellness Roots, Dr. Liz began her career in the healing arts working at Cornerstone Healing and Massage Williamsburg in Brooklyn.

Prior to pursuing a career in holistic medicine, Dr. Liz dedicated her life working as a nonprofit fundraising and development professional for organizations providing social justice, health care, and education to underserved populations in New York City, Boston and New Jersey.
